How to get started at The Yard.

You are now signed up and ready to get started, and we’re delighted that you decided to join us.

The Yard is a fully self-service coworking space, so there are a few steps you will need to take to access the space, find your desk, and login to the WiFi.

You can enjoy your free trial at The Yard at your convenience, Monday – Friday, 8 am to 6 pm. There’s no need to book a time, simply arrive, let yourself in, and enjoy half a day’s coworking on us!

1. Check your emails.
You will shortly receive an email from us confirming your login details, which includes your username, password, and a pin.
You will need your pin to check-in and access the WiFi.
If you have signed up for a paid subscription, and have not completed payment by credit/debit card, or by setting up a Direct Debit, you will need to pay the invoice before arriving at The Yard.
You can do this by logging into your account, or you will automatically receive an invoice by email if one is outstanding.
2. Download your access key.
You will also receive an email from Salto, our access control partner, which will invite you to download the Salto KS app. This is your key to the space so you will need to download the app, and login using the username and password you set when signing up for The Yard.
If you have a signed up for a paid subscription and have not yet paid your invoice, you will not receive this email.
1. Check your email for a message from Salto. Click “Get Started”.
2. Download the Salto KS app from your App Store.
3. Login using the username and password you set during sign up.
4. The app will show you the available locks.
5. Tap the thumb icon in the bottom right to activate your mobile key.
3. Letting yourself in.
Please make sure you’ve followed the directions above and successfully logged into the Salto KS app before arriving at The Yard.
To let yourself in, it’s as simple as opening the Salto KS app, tapping your mobile key and holding your phone next to the reader. Once you’ve opened the door, head in and up the stairs. You have arrived!

4. Finding your desk.
All of our desks operate on a first-come-first-served basis, except the permanent desks reserved for our Yard Month members. Please note you won’t be able to book a specific desk prior to arriving at the space.
Our desks are split into three types: Hot Desking, Flexible Desks, Permanent Desks.
When you arrive at The Yard please choose an available desk based on your membership type.
If there is no desk available for your membership type when you arrive at The Yard, you are invited to sit at an available desk in a different membership type.
We kindly ask all members to respect the desks of our full-time members (Yard Month) and not to use these desks under any circumstance.
5. Connecting to the WiFi.
You’re all set for your productive day at The Yard!
The final step is to login to the WiFi, which also acts as checking in if your membership is based on hours. e.g. Your 20 hour pass will only start being used once you login to the WiFi. Once your device disconnects from the Wifi (e.g. when you leave the building) the time will stop counting down. You can also do this at any time by logging out.
Your PIN is sent to you in the Welcome email after signing up to The Yard. If you haven’t received the email, please login to your account on our website where you can find your personal PIN.
1. Find TheYard@OX9 Wifi network on your device.
2. Login using the username (email) and PIN from your Welcome Email. (*Your password will not let you in*)
3. You are online! You can also login using the same username and PIN on your other devices.
